This episode, 4x01, was one of the Buffy episodes that I related to the most. Buffy’s a freshman at college, and she’s way out of her league. Everything she thought she was, everything she was good at, she second guesses in this episode. She gets beat, so she questions herself, and gets beat again. She loses all her confidence. It’s so relate-able, anyone is new situations knows how this feels. In the end, she remembers who she is. She gets her confidence back, and she kicks ass, just like she knew she could, all along, deep down.

This episode is about that uncertain time, when nothing is going right for you, when changes are happening, and you wonder if you are as good as you know you are.
